Lavrov criticizes Biden's behavior as "foolish" and "childish" in interview
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has sharply criticized the behavior of former U.S. President Joe Biden, calling it "foolish" and likening it to a "childish grudge" in an interview with Channel One.
Lavrov noted that Biden's actions during his time in office were not consistent with the behavior expected from a leader of his experience. "It does not reflect well on politicians, especially someone with as much experience as Biden," Lavrov said, adding that Biden's approach to Russia seemed to mirror the behavior of a child in a playground dispute. "When suddenly, like a child in kindergarten, you turn away from a boy or girl, saying 'I won't be friends with you, we won't play in the yard,' it's foolish."
Despite this criticism, Lavrov acknowledged that relations between Russia and the U.S. are beginning to normalize, with both countries resuming dialogue. He stressed that such communication was essential, noting that the discussions are not limited to the ongoing situation in Ukraine.
The Russian foreign minister also pointed out the ongoing dialogue between the United States and China, despite the numerous disagreements between the two powers, underscoring the importance of maintaining diplomatic communication even amid tensions.
