Media: Armenia's ruling party takes on officials Pashinyan dissatisfied with
The Armenian newspaper Zhokhovurd has published an article claiming that Armenia's ruling party takes on officials Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is dissatisfied with.
"MPs of Armenia's ruling party intend to regularly summon various ministers and officials to the parliament for closed sessions," Zhokhovurd says citing its sources, according to Caliber.Az.
"Moreover, those ministers and officials, whose work Pashinyan is dissatisfied with or who are often singled out for noisy incidents, will be summoned to the National Assembly. It is noteworthy that the initiative to summon officials and ministers to the parliament does not belong to Pashinyan but to MPs, particularly the elite of the Civil Contract faction.
Perhaps, in this way, the lawmakers intend to strengthen the parliament's control over other structures. It should be noted that the ruling party targets only those officials with whom Nikol Pashinyan has tense relations," the report says.
