Russia says 13 Ukrainian drones shot down near Moscow in one day
Russian air forces have intercepted and destroyed 13 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) targeting Moscow since the start of the day, according to Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin.
In a statement posted on his official Telegram channel, Sobyanin said four additional drones launched by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) were shot down as they approached the capital, Caliber.Az reports.
Emergency services were dispatched to the Kievsky district of the Troitsky and Novomoskovsky Administrative Okrug (TINAO) after debris from one of the downed UAVs fell in the area.
"Emergency services are working at the site of falling debris from a UAV in the area of the Kievsky district of TINAO. All necessary measures are being taken," Sobyanin wrote.
Preliminary assessments indicate there were no serious damages or casualties.
