Emergency services deployed to site of downed drone over Moscow

The Russian Ministry of Defence’s air defence system successfully intercepted and shot down a drone flying toward Moscow, city mayor confirmed.

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin reported the incident on his Telegram channel, noting that the drone was neutralised before reaching the capital, Caliber.Az reports.

“Air defence forces of the Ministry of Defence shot down a drone flying towards Moscow. Emergency responders are currently working at the site of the debris,” Sobyanin stated.

Earlier, on July 21, the Moscow mayor said that 13 unmanned aerial vehicles targeting Moscow have been intercepted since the start of the day.
