Erdoğan to meet Azerbaijani prosecutor general to boost legal cooperation
On July 21, 2025, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is set to receive the Prosecutor General of Azerbaijan, Kamran Aliyev, during his official visit to Türkiye.
Aliyev is currently in Ankara on a two-day working visit at the invitation of Muhsin Şentürk, Prosecutor General of the Turkish Supreme Court, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.
The purpose of the visit is to strengthen cooperation between the two countries in the legal field.
Speaking to the press in Türkiye, Aliyev highlighted the intensive and fruitful meetings held so far between courts, prosecutor’s offices, ministries of justice, and law enforcement agencies of both nations.
“The process shows that these meetings are necessary for both countries,” he said.
During the visit, Aliyev met with Şentürk, where information about Azerbaijan’s law enforcement bodies was exchanged.
The programme also includes meetings with Ömer Kerkez, Chairman of the Supreme Court, and Yılmaz Tunç, Türkiye’s Minister of Justice.
President Erdoğan will also hold talks with the Azerbaijani delegation, underscoring the close ties and ongoing collaboration between Ankara and Baku in the justice sector.
