Media: Ex-Udmurt minister detained over drug-related driving case
The former Udmurt Minister of Agriculture, Mikhail Yudin, has been detained on suspicion of driving under the influence of narcotics and now faces up to three years in prison, Telegram Channel SHOT reports.
“Mikhail Yudin was caught while driving his Belgee car along a highway in the Zavyalovsky district. The former official refused to undergo a medical examination, and a package of marijuana was found on him,” the report said.

The former official admitted guilt during questioning. He was subsequently sentenced to five days of administrative arrest and ordered to undergo treatment at a drug rehabilitation clinic.
According to SHOT, an additional 10 grams of a narcotic substance were later discovered at Yudin’s residence. Following this discovery, a criminal case has been opened against the former minister on charges of illegal possession of narcotic substances in a significant amount.
