Media: IDF plans response in Syria after fire on troops in Beit Jinn
The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) may carry out military operations in Syria if it is confirmed that the Syrian army fired on Israeli soldiers.
According to Channel 13, the IDF is considering a large-scale military operation in southern Syria if it is verified that Israeli forces in the village of Beit Jinn were recently fired upon by Syrian government troops.
The channel reports that the military command is awaiting final confirmation of the involvement of units loyal to Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa in the exchange of fire, during which six IDF soldiers were wounded. If confirmed, the IDF intends to respond with a series of precision airstrikes on preselected targets in Syrian territory, reducing the need for expanded ground operations.

Meanwhile, the Public Broadcasting Corporation Kan reports that Israel has already identified several organisers of the attack, who are reportedly collaborating with the intelligence services of President al-Sharaa. These same groups are also allegedly linked to attempts to attack the Druze community in Hader.
Earlier reports indicated that on the night of Friday, November 28, IDF units conducted an operation in Beit Jinn aimed at destroying terrorist infrastructure targeting Israel. During the raid, Israeli forces engaged in combat with militants, resulting in six soldiers being wounded, three of them seriously.
