Media: Russia to fully withdraw its troops from Syria within next month VIDEO
Russia plans to completely withdraw its troops from Syria within the next month, according to sources close to the Military Operations Command of Syria.
About 10% of the Russian contingent left Syria over the past two days. The evacuation was carried out via the Hmeimim airbase, with Russian transport aviation aircraft, including Il-76 and An-22, making two to three flights per day, Caliber.Az reports, citing Al-Araby Al-Jadeed.
Russian ships departing from the port of Tartus have set course for home waters. The Russian army has also abandoned seven observation posts in the Quneitra province near the Israeli border. This coincided with the withdrawal of a convoy from the T4 military airport in the eastern countryside of Homs.

Russia continues to evacuate soldiers and equipment from Syria
Some military equipment stationed at the Qamishli airport in the northeastern countryside of Hasakah province was also relocated to the base itself in preparation for transfer to Russia.
To recall, since the launch of the "Deterrence of Aggression" operation on November 27, Russian forces have withdrawn from most of their military positions deployed across Syrian provinces, consolidating their presence at the Hmeimim airbase ahead of the Military Operations Command assuming control of these locations.
In a previous report published a few days ago, Al-Araby noted that the number of combat aircraft at the Hmeimim airbase stands at 22 units, including Su-24 and Su-34 aircraft, two Su-57 fighter jets, and two transport planes (A-50 and An-22). The sources also indicated that there are seven aircraft stationed at Qamishli airport, comprising six Su-34s and one An-22.
