Medical emergency forces Lufthansa plane to land in Baku
A Lufthansa Airlines flight travelling from Mumbai to Munich was diverted and made an emergency landing at Baku's Heydar Aliyev International Airport early this morning.
The decision to land was made after the flight captain reported a sudden health emergency involving one of the passengers, the airport's press service told Caliber.Az.
The Airbus A350 aircraft landed safely at 6:47 a.m. local time, with airport emergency teams promptly responding to the situation. The passenger in distress received immediate first aid at the airport before being transferred to a local medical facility by an ambulance crew.
The prompt response of the Heydar Aliyev International Airport staff ensured the safety and care of the affected passenger. Further updates on the passenger’s condition have not yet been released.
