NATO to review relations with Russia Amid ongoing conflict concerns
NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte announced that the upcoming meeting of the alliance's defence agency heads in Brussels will focus on future cooperation with Russia.
He emphasized the importance of discussing how to constructively build relations with Russia, a topic that will also be addressed in the forthcoming meeting of foreign ministers later this year, Caliber.Az reports per Russian media.
Rutte mentioned that a comprehensive strategy regarding relations with Russia is expected to be raised at the NATO summit in The Hague in 2025.
Meanwhile, NATO has decided not to deploy troops to Ukraine.
This decision comes amid concerns that if NATO forces were to be killed by Russian troops, countries like the UK could be drawn into a larger conflict, potentially escalating tensions toward World War III.
The report follows Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's recent proposal to implement a "comprehensive non-nuclear strategic deterrence package" against Russia, as part of a broader victory plan presented to the Verkhovna Rada.
