From November 27 to December 2, attacks by the Bashar al-Assad regime and Russian forces on Syria's Aleppo and Idlib provinces resulted in the deaths of 81 civilians and injuries to 304 others.
According to the Civil Defence Service, the devastating bombardment has left significant destruction in its wake, including the targeting of critical infrastructure, Caliber.Az reports citing foreign media.

The Civil Defence Service confirmed that Russian airstrikes on Idlib city hit the al-Watan hospital and its surrounding areas, rendering the medical facility non-operational. The previous night, Assad regime Su-24 aircraft targeted the al-Ghab Valley, the Shakhishbo Mountain region, and the village of Ziyara in Hama province. Meanwhile, Russian aviation conducted strikes on the Maarat al-Numan area in southern Idlib.
Simultaneously, intense clashes between Assad regime forces and anti-regime armed groups have engulfed parts of Aleppo and Idlib provinces. Fighting erupted on November 27 in western Aleppo, with anti-regime groups launching a rapid offensive toward the provincial centre. By November 30, these groups had seized control of most of the Aleppo centre and captured the strategic town of Khan Sheikhoun, securing control over all of Idlib province.

The offensive has now extended to Hama province, where armed groups continue to advance. On December 1, as part of Operation Dawn of Freedom, the Syrian National Army liberated the Tall Rifat district from YPG forces, the Syrian branch of the PKK, marking another significant development in the ongoing conflict.
The situation in northern Syria remains dire, with heavy casualties, widespread displacement, and infrastructure destruction contributing to a deepening humanitarian crisis.
