Official: Poland not afraid to be left without gas
27 July 2022 03:00
The press secretary of the Polish government, Piotr Müller, has said that the republic is not afraid to be left without gas after Gazprom's statement.
“Due to the fact that the Law and Justice government at the beginning of its first term, after 2015, decided to build the Baltic Pipe gas pipeline, there is no such risk regarding the lack of gas supplies to Poland,” Gazeta quotes Muller as saying.
However, a Polish government spokesman warned that fuel prices could rise amid the backdrop of the latest statement by the Russian energy company regarding restrictions on gas supplies to Europe.
