Official: Türkiye leads among countries investing in Azerbaijan’s non-oil sector

Azerbaijani First Deputy Minister of Economy Elnur Aliyev has said that Türkiye leads among the countries investing in Azerbaijan’s non-oil sector.

Aliyev made the remarks at an event in connection with the opening ceremony of Maarif International School on October 3, Report informs.

“The work is underway with Turkish companies to implement new projects in Azerbaijan. Türkiye is the second biggest trading partner of Azerbaijan,” he noted.

The deputy minister noted that the government renders the necessary support for about 5,000 Turkish companies to comfortably operate in various spheres in Azerbaijan.

He noted that Turkish companies are also showing great interest in the work which is carried out in the liberated Azerbaijani territories.

"Turkish companies are interested in implementing new infrastructure projects in the territories for the revival of this region," Aliyev said.
