Azerbaijan and Vietnam signed an Action Plan for 2025–2027 aimed at deepening their strategic partnership across political, economic, and cultural spheres during the 3rd meeting of their Intergovernmental Commission held in Hanoi.
Azerbaijan’s Deputy Foreign Minister Elnur Mammadov visited Hanoi to take part in the 3rd meeting of the Azerbaijan-Vietnam Intergovernmental Commission on Economic-Trade and Scientific-Technical Cooperation, Caliber.Az reports per the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.
During the visit, Mammadov held talks with his Vietnamese counterpart, Le Thi Thu Hang. The two sides discussed the outcomes of recent political consultations held between their foreign ministries in Baku on April 21, 2025, and explored opportunities for deepening bilateral cooperation.
The discussions covered a wide range of sectors, including politics, trade, energy, agriculture, transport, and humanitarian collaboration.
Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to advancing ties, which have recently reached the level of strategic partnership following the May 7–8 state visit to Azerbaijan by To Lam, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
Emphasising the importance of strengthening inter-parliamentary relations, the sides welcomed the results of the Intergovernmental Commission’s 3rd meeting.
The officials also expressed confidence that the upcoming “Vietnam Days” to be held in Baku at the end of July would contribute to enhancing cultural ties between the two nations.
