Azerbaijan, UAE reaffirm commitment to economic, strategic partnership
Samir Nuriyev, Head of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Azerbaijan, held a meeting with Humaid Obaid Abushibs, President of the Supreme Audit Institution of the United Arab Emirates, and the delegation accompanying him.
The sides expressed satisfaction with the current level of strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and the UAE, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
It was emphasised that the recent visit of President Ilham Aliyev to the United Arab Emirates, along with the signing of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement, has laid a solid foundation for further deepening of bilateral relations.
The parties highlighted the dynamic development of cooperation in the fields of economy, transport, energy, and culture, as well as the successful renewable energy projects carried out by the UAE in Azerbaijan.
They also underlined the rapid progress of reconstruction works in the liberated territories under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, noting that the return of former internally displaced persons has already commenced. Azerbaijan expressed gratitude to the UAE for its financial support towards humanitarian demining efforts in these areas.
Discussions also covered joint efforts in combating corruption, advancing institutional reforms, and expanding bilateral and international cooperation in these domains.
