Outgoing Azerbaijani government delayed on President Aliyev's order

On February 14, President Ilham Aliyev signed an Order on the execution of the powers of the members of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Taking into account the resignation of the Cabinet of Ministers in accordance with Article 116 of the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan, President Ilham Aliyev by this Order assigned the powers of the members of the Cabinet of Ministers until the formation of a new cabinet to the previous Cabinet of Ministers, Azertag reports.

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, who won the snap presidential elections on February 7, took the oath on February 14.

Under the Article 116 of the Azerbaijani Constitution, the Cabinet of Ministers resigns on the day of the presidential inauguration.
