Pakistan's interior minister returns to Tehran to support Iran-US talks
Pakistan's Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi is expected to return to Tehran to follow up on ongoing Iran-U.S. negotiations and reinforce efforts to keep the diplomatic process on track, Al Arabiya reported, citing informed sources.
The reported visit comes shortly after Naqvi met with Iran's interior minister on the sidelines of talks in Bishkek, signaling continued regional engagement in support of dialogue between Tehran and Washington.
The development follows a series of statements from senior Iranian officials outlining Tehran's position on regional security and negotiations.
On June 4, Iran's Revolutionary Guards said that lasting stability in the Middle East would not be achieved unless Israel withdrew from Lebanese territory and halted its military operations. Meanwhile, Mohsen Rezaei, a senior adviser to Iran's leadership, stressed that Tehran would not give a "green light" to negotiations until all of its demands had been met.
