Party leader: Georgian Dream to mobilise maximum forces for elections
The leader of the ruling party in Georgia, Georgian Dream - Democratic Georgia, has announced that the party will do everything it can to ensure a confident victory in the upcoming parliamentary elections.
Caliber.Az cited reports from Georgian media that Irakli Garibashvili, the party chairman, made the statement while talking to journalists.
The parliamentary elections are scheduled for October 26 and will be held under a proportional system with a 5% threshold. As per the latest polls, two to five parties have a chance to enter the parliament, with Georgian Dream retaining the lead and the United National Movement coming in second place.
Garibashvili emphasized that the main goal of the party is to mobilize all its forces, and the country must win and celebrate a strong, historic victory on October 26.
He also added that the party aims to achieve a constitutional majority. Additionally, the voters will have to make a clear choice between supporting the Georgian Dream and its founder Bidzina Ivanishvili or "anti-national enemy forces."
