Pentagon denies reports of new US military base in northern Syria VIDEO
The US Department of Defence has firmly denied reports about the construction of a new military base in northern Syria, following the circulation of videos showing concrete barriers being transported on a trailer with an American flag.
"There are no plans or intentions to build an American base in Ain al-Arab in Syria," Pentagon Deputy Press Secretary Sabrina Singh stated, Caliber.Az reports via Iranian media.

The rumours emerged in late December after reports indicated a US military convoy had arrived in Syria from Iraq. The convoy, which reportedly included 50 trucks carrying armoured vehicles, military equipment, and logistics, passed through the Al-Walid border crossing en route to one of the US military bases in eastern and northern Syria.
Earlier reports had suggested that the United States was constructing a new military base in northern Syria to support the Syrian Kurdish group YPG, which is affiliated with the PKK terrorist organization. This move reportedly follows increasing pressure on the YPG from Türkiye-backed Syrian National Army (SNA) forces.
Local journalists, citing Turkish media, reported the arrival of 13 trucks carrying concrete construction blocks in Ain al-Arab (also known as Kobani), a stronghold of the PKK/YPG. Sources indicated that the US military was relocating materials from a base in Iraq, including concrete blocks, construction materials, and other supplies, to build the new base.
Earlier this week, the US military also transferred Bradley armoured vehicles, air defence systems, and additional armoured vehicles to the region to further support YPG operations.
