Polish authorities: Fuel supplies currently sufficient for three months
Polish Energy Minister Miłosz Motyka has stated that Poland has sufficient reserves of aviation fuel for the coming weeks.
He said market conditions remain tense, while some airlines have already begun reducing flights, which could lead to higher ticket prices, Caliber.Az reports, citing Polish media.
Deputy Minister Wojciech Wrochna also clarified that mandatory fuel reserves are sufficient for more than 90 days and comply with International Energy Agency standards.
“There are currently no grounds to use them,” he said.
Earlier, International Energy Agency head Fatih Birol warned that aviation fuel stocks in Europe could fall to as little as six weeks amid risks of supply disruptions linked to the conflict in the Middle East.
