Political parties issue joint statement on 5th anniversary of Azerbaijan’s Victory Day

Political parties in Azerbaijan have issued a joint statement to mark the fifth anniversary of Victory Day.

The statement highlights that Azerbaijan’s triumph in the 44-day Patriotic War has become a symbol of national unity and the strength of the state, opening a new chapter in the country’s history, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.

The parties noted that the victory not only restored Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity but also revived a sense of national pride.

In their statement, the parties extended congratulations to citizens of Azerbaijan and compatriots abroad on the anniversary of the historic victory, calling for continued efforts to strengthen national unity in pursuit of a strong and prosperous state.

“This glorious chapter, achieved by the Azerbaijani people, the Azerbaijani army, and the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, victorious Supreme Commander Ilham Aliyev, in such a challenging and perilous period in world history, will remain eternal,” the statement said.

Representatives of 23 political parties currently active in Azerbaijan signed the document.
