Presidents of Russia, Indonesia to discuss strategic partnership in Moscow talks
On December 10, Russian President Vladimir Putin will meet with the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, who will arrive in Moscow on a working visit.
According to the Kremlin press service, the talks are expected to cover the development of the Russia–Indonesia strategic partnership, as well as current international and regional issues.
The two countries formalised a strategic partnership in 2018, aimed at expanding cooperation in trade, investment, defence, energy, and technology.
Russia has been a key supplier of military hardware to Indonesia, including fighter jets, helicopters, and naval vessels, while Indonesia has provided Russia with critical commodities such as palm oil, coal, and other raw materials.
In the June meeting, Putin described Indonesia as one of Russia's key partners in the Asia-Pacific region and one of its largest trading partners in Southeast Asia.
