Pro-Armenian orientalist Satanovsky fired from Solovyov LIVE channel
Orientalist Yevgeny Satanovsky has been sacked from the Solovyov LIVE channel.
Channel's chief Vladimir Solovyov announced this decision on his Telegram channel, Caliber.Az reports.
Recently, a video of Satanovsky saying that Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova "doesn't really like Jews and can't tolerate Israel" was circulated online.
Solovyov apologised to the Russian Foreign Ministry, as well as Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov and Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova "for the absolutely unfair and unacceptable statements" made by Solovyov LIVE contributor Yevgeny Yanovych Satanovsky.
"Yevgeny Yanovych Satanovsky, a few days ago, in a conversation with an Israeli journalist on his YouTube channel, commenting on the situation in the Middle East, insulted both these honourable diplomats and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. As a result, I see no possibility of continuing professional communication with Yevgeny Yanovych and have taken the decision to dismiss Yevgeny Yanovych Satanovsky from our channel," Solovyov said in a video message.
