Ukrainian drones strike Russia’s Penza, prompting regional alert VIDEO
A large fire has broken out in the Russian city of Penza following a drone attack by Ukrainian forces.
According to Shot on Telegram, eyewitnesses reported a loud explosion and thick smoke billowing over one of the city’s districts, Caliber.Az reports.
Emergency services were swiftly dispatched to the area, and a regional alert was issued warning of a potential drone threat.
According to Penza region governor Oleg Melnichenko, the blaze erupted at an industrial facility, though he stated that there were no reported casualties or structural damage.
“Another attack by enemy drones has been carried out on one of our industrial enterprises,” Melnichenko said in a statement. “There is a fire on the premises, which is currently being extinguished. I am at the scene of the incident, where emergency services are working.”
