Relatives of missing Ukrainian soldiers protest in Kyiv PHOTO
Several hundred people took part in a protest in Kyiv demanding that Ukrainian authorities intensify efforts to locate servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) who are missing in action, the Ukrainian Coordination Headquarters for Prisoners of War has reported.
It said, in a statement on Telegram, families of prisoners of war and missing persons took to the streets under the slogan “Return. Search. Responsibility,” Caliber.Az reports.
“Participants appealed to state bodies and international organisations to improve the system for searching for servicemen missing during combat operations and to help establish the circumstances of their disappearance,” the statement noted.
The Coordination Headquarters also said a representative attended the rally, answering individual questions and commenting on specific cases.
Participants emphasised that their voices represent the memory, pain, and hope of those still waiting for news or the return of their relatives.
