Rocket attack targets US base in Syria

The US base located in Al-Shaddadi, in the Syrian northeastern Hasakah province, has come under rocket fire.

The base was hit by four rockets. The attack resulted in a fire on the premises, and sirens were heard as a precautionary measure, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media. 

On September 22, the US forces increased their alert level at the Omar and Conoco oil field bases in Deir ez-Zor province, eastern Syria, amid escalating tension in Lebanon. That same morning, Lebanon launched over 100 rockets into Israeli territory. According to a statement from the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), following the activation of sirens in northern Israel, approximately 85 projectiles were confirmed to have entered Israeli airspace from Lebanon.

Some projectiles were intercepted, while others were found in Israel’s Kiryat Bialik city, Tzur Shalom, and Moreshet settlements. Previously, Syria accused Israel of contributing to the escalation of tension in the Middle East.
