Russia appoints new consul general in New York

Alexey Gennadyevich Markov has been appointed as the new Consul General of the Russian Federation in New York, as announced by the Russian Foreign Ministry.

“By order of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Alexey Gennadyevich Markov has been appointed Consul General of the Russian Federation in New York, US,” the ministry stated via its official Telegram channel, Caliber.Az reports.

Markov has served in the diplomatic service since 2003, holding various positions both at the ministry’s central office and abroad.
