Russia claims to have thwarted large-scale Ukraine drone attack
Russian air defence forces destroyed 11 drones - eight over the Belgorod region, two over the Voronezh region and one over the Kursk region.
According to preliminary data, there were no casualties or damage, Caliber.Az reported, citing the Russian Defence Ministry.
On January 31, Ukraine's air force commander said that the Ukrainian military had struck an airfield in Russian-occupied Crimea.
The 204th Sevastopol Tactical Aviation Brigade carried out a strike on Belbek airfield, which the unit had used as a base before Russia annexed the peninsula, said Mykola Oleshchuk.
Thanking the military for conducting the operation, he said: "Ukrainian aviators will definitely return home to their native airfield."
The commander posted a video of what he claimed was the strike showing multiple explosions and thick smoke rising into the air.
