President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan first disclosed the export plans in mid-June. According to the contract, the jets will be delivered over a period of 120 months, with their engines produced domestically in Türkiye.
Beyond the export of aircraft, the agreement also includes comprehensive technology transfer and joint production initiatives. This not only expands Türkiye’s defence export portfolio but also strengthens strategic partnerships by enabling knowledge exchange and collaborative development with friendly and allied nations.
IDEF 2025, the 17th edition of the six-day defence industry fair, is currently underway. The event takes place simultaneously at multiple venues in Istanbul, including the Istanbul Fair Centre, Atatürk Airport, WOW Hotel, and Ataköy Marina.
