FM: Tehran has yet to decide on resuming talks with Washington

Iran has not yet decided whether to resume negotiations with the United States, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said, according to Tasnim.

Araghchi said Qatar and Pakistan were acting as intermediaries by exchanging messages and maintaining contacts, but stressed that this did not constitute negotiations between Tehran and Washington.

“We have not yet decided to resume negotiations with the United States,” Araghchi said.

He also said there had been no agreement between Iran and the United States that could be described as a ceasefire.

Araghchi further rejected any connection between technical talks and the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz.
