Egypt, Türkiye expand economic partnership with new agreements

Egypt and Türkiye have taken further steps to strengthen bilateral relations, holding the second meeting of the Joint Planning Group to advance agreements reached under the Council of Strategic Cooperation.

The meeting was co-chaired by Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and his Egyptian counterpart, Badr Abdelatty, with discussions focusing on expanding bilateral cooperation and reviewing regional developments.

The talks underscored the two countries’ efforts to deepen economic and strategic ties and translate high-level agreements into concrete areas of cooperation.

Following the meeting, Egypt and Türkiye signed a series of agreements aimed at boosting bilateral trade, diversifying economic relations and enhancing transportation and other forms of connectivity between the two countries.

The agreements are expected to provide additional momentum to economic cooperation while strengthening links between the two regional powers.
