Five killed, 11 injured in minibus crash in Türkiye PHOTO

Five people were killed and 11 others injured after a minibus crashed in the Lice district of Turkey’s Diyarbakır province, Turkish newspaper Hurriyet reported. 

Three of the injured were in serious condition.

The accident occurred on the Lice-Kulp road in the Karahasan rural neighbourhood. The minibus driver lost control of the vehicle, causing it to leave the road and overturn on the roadside.

Emergency medical teams, firefighters and gendarmerie units were dispatched to the scene after receiving reports of the crash.

The passengers had been travelling from Diyarbakır to the city of Mus to attend an engagement ceremony when the accident occurred.
