Israel probes after 50 Israelis illegally enter Palestinian Nablus, accused of attacking homes
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have launched an investigation after approximately 50 Israeli citizens entered the Palestinian city of Nablus (Shechem) overnight without prior coordination or authorization, the IDF spokesperson's unit confirmed.
According to the military, the group entered the city—located in the northern West Bank—illegally and without coordination with the relevant security authorities, Caliber.Az reports.
The individuals were later detained by Palestinian security forces and transferred to Israeli authorities.
“There were also complaints that the citizens threw stones at houses in the city. No one was injured. These allegations will be investigated and reviewed in accordance with established procedures,” the IDF said in an official statement.
All individuals involved were handed over to Israeli police for further questioning and legal proceedings.
