Russia's Samara keeps fuel caps in place for another two weeks
Authorities in Russia’s Samara Region have extended restrictions on gasoline sales at filling stations for another two weeks amid ongoing concerns over fuel supplies.
Regional Governor Vyacheslav Fedorishchev announced the extension during an operational meeting of the regional government, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.
Under the current restrictions, motorists may purchase up to 40 liters of gasoline per transaction at filling stations. A separate limit applies to fuel purchased in containers, with customers allowed to buy a maximum of 10 liters.
Fedorishchev also urged residents to remain calm and refrain from responding to what he described as attempts to destabilize the situation.
“To everyone engaged in destabilizing society, I want to say one thing: you will achieve nothing. We are aware of the situation with fuel and are responding promptly,” the governor said.
