Apartment building damaged, two injured in Volgograd attack
Two people were injured after a missile attack on the Volgograd Region overnight, damaging an apartment building and an industrial facility in Volgograd, regional Governor Andrei Bocharov said on Friday, September 11.
“Tonight, as a result of a missile attack by criminal Kyiv on facilities in the Volgograd Region, an apartment building on Geroev Maloy Zemli Street in Volgograd’s Krasnoarmeysky District was damaged. Two injured men, aged 55 and 42, were hospitalised,” Bocharov said.
Debris also fell on the grounds of an industrial enterprise in southern Volgograd, the governor said.
“Emergency services are working at the scene, and efforts to deal with the aftermath are continuing,” Bocharov said, adding that emergency services and the municipality had been instructed to assess the damage, eliminate the consequences of the attack and prepare temporary accommodation centres.
