All necessary emergency and other services continue to work at the site of an Ozon warehouse in Saratov that was damaged in a UAV attack, Saratov Region Governor Roman Busargin said.

“Warehouse employees were promptly evacuated, and no one was injured,” Busargin said. He added that he had instructed the Saratov city administration and the deputy chairman of the regional government responsible for economic affairs to establish an operational headquarters and a hotline for employees whose belongings were lost in the incident.

Authorities are also expected to help affected workers restore lost documents, the governor said.

Busargin said the regional authorities remained in contact with Ozon management. The regional government is preparing amendments to local legislation that would introduce tax benefits for Saratov organisations affected by the attack. The proposed measures are due to be considered at a government meeting later in September.

Earlier, ASTRA reported that an Ozon logistics centre in Saratov had caught fire following a UAV attack. Regional authorities said no one was injured. Ozon’s press service said the company had temporarily suspended the acceptance and delivery of new orders in Saratov and the surrounding region.

Ukrainian drone and missile manufacturer Fire Point confirmed that its UAVs had struck the Ozon warehouse in Saratov.

A logistics centre operated by Ozon was damaged in a UAV attack on Saratov, with no casualties reported, Saratov Region Governor Roman Busargin said.

“As a result of the UAV attack, civilian infrastructure in Saratov was damaged. All emergency services are working at the scene. There are no casualties reported at this stage,” Busargin said.

Ozon said its employees were promptly evacuated following the attack.

The company added that its operations in the region would be partially restricted in the near future.

A fire has broken out at an Ozon logistics centre in Saratov, Russia, following a reported drone attack, according to the Russian independent outlet ASTRA.

ASTRA reported that the fire started at the marketplace company's logistics facility after local authorities announced a drone threat in the city.

An OSINT expert with ASTRA identified the burning facility as an Ozon logistics centre. Local residents cited by the outlet said the fire broke out in the building following the reported UAV attack and that employees were evacuated.

Emergency services are currently working at the scene.

Local authorities in Saratov have not yet commented on the incident.
