Ukrainian company claims strike on chemical plant in Russia's Volgograd VIDEO

Ukrainian drone and missile manufacturer Fire Point has confirmed that an Ozon warehouse in Saratov was hit by FP-1 UAVs and claimed that FP-5 Flamingo missiles struck the Volgogradpromproekt chemical plant in Volgograd.

The company said the destroyed warehouse covered an area of 85,000 square metres; the facility was designed to store more than 30 million items, Caliber.Az reports, citing ASTRA.

Officials also claimed in a statement that FP-5 Flamingo cruise missiles successfully struck the Volgogradpromproekt chemical plant in Volgograd, causing a fire.

“Volgogradpromproekt LLC is under US sanctions for working for Russia’s military-industrial complex. The company produces combustion catalysts containing ferrocenes and develops technologies for the production of chemicals. Ukrainian sanctions, as always, proved to be the most effective,” the statement noted.

Fire Point is a Ukrainian company specialising in the design, development and production of UAVs and cruise missiles, including FP-1 and FP-2 drones and FP-5 Flamingo cruise missiles.

Earlier, ASTRA reported that an Ozon logistics centre had caught fire in Saratov. Local authorities said there were no casualties. The company’s press service had previously said that it was temporarily not accepting or delivering new customer orders in Saratov and the surrounding region.

On the morning of 11 September, Volgograd Region Governor Andrey Bocharov stated that that two people had been injured and that an apartment building and an industrial facility had been damaged in a Ukrainian missile attack on Volgograd and the region. He did not specify which facility had been targeted.
