Say Agency: Kanye West wants to meet Putin
A meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US rapper Kanye West, also known as Ye, could take place if a number of conditions are met, according to Svetlana Zhurova, first deputy chair of the State Duma’s Committee on International Affairs.
Zhurova told Russia's Lenta.ru that the main consideration would be whether the schedules of Putin and West could be aligned.
“First and foremost, it is a question of our president’s schedule and the artist’s own schedule aligning. [..] Hypothetically, there is a possibility,” Zhurova said.
West is scheduled to perform two concerts in Russia as part of his world tour, on October 10 and 11 in St Petersburg. The performances are due to take place at the Gazprom Arena.
Anna Subcheva, managing director of concert agency Say Agency, said West had expressed a desire to meet Putin.
