Russia invested nearly $5 billion in Uzbekistan in 2025
The Ministry of Investments, Industry, and Trade of Uzbekistan announced that Russia invested $4.8 billion in the country in 2025.
Overall, the country attracted $43.1 billion in foreign investments, a 24% increase compared to the previous year, Caliber.Az reports via the government portal of Uzbekistan.
Russia ranked second among the largest investors, behind China, which invested $15.5 billion.
“In 2025, the total volume of realised investments in Uzbekistan reached $43.1 billion, up 24% from last year. The key share consisted of $38.2 billion in foreign direct investment and $4.9 billion from international financial institutions,” the ministry said.
The ministry added that growing investment confidence is reflected in the entry of leading global brands into the Uzbek market and active collaboration with key partners, including China, Russia, Türkiye, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE.
