"Russia is here forever" Andrey Turchak - about the future of the Kherson region

Secretary of the United Russia General Council Andrei Turchak visited Kherson in Ukraine, controlled by the Russian military. He said that the Russian Federation came to the region "forever", Meduza reports.

I wanted to once again, addressing the residents of the Kherson region, to say that Russia is here forever. There should be no doubt about this. There will be no return to the past. We will live together, develop this rich region, rich in historical heritage, rich in its people who live here.

At the same time, Turchak said that one should not "run ahead" with the question of the status of the region, emphasizing that it "in any case will be determined by the inhabitants." He stressed that now the main thing is to provide assistance to the population and ensure "normal preparation for winter."
