Russia launches overnight barrage of drones and missiles on Ukraine
Russia launched a large-scale overnight attack on Ukraine on May 15, deploying more than 140 drones along with anti-radiation and anti-ship missiles, according to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Ukrainian officials said the attack involved five Kh-31P anti-radiation missiles, one Kh-35 anti-ship missile, and 141 strike UAVs, including Shahed, Gerbera, and Italmas types, as well as decoy drones known as Parodiya.

As of 09:00, preliminary data indicated that Ukrainian air defences had shot down or suppressed one Kh-35 missile and 130 UAVs across the south, north, and east of the country.
The five Kh-31P missiles failed to reach their intended targets, the military said. At the same time, impacts from seven strike drones were recorded across six locations, while debris from intercepted drones fell at seven locations.
“The attack continues, several enemy UAVs are in the airspace. Follow safety rules!” the Armed Forces of Ukraine said.
