Russia re-lists commander of volunteer corps Denis Kapustin on wanted database
Denis Kapustin, the commander of the Russian Volunteer Corps (RDK), has once again been declared wanted by Russian authorities, according to an entry published in the Russian Interior Ministry’s wanted persons database.
The database states that Kapustin is wanted under the Criminal Code and lists his identifying details, including that he is a Russian national, born on March 6, 1984, in Moscow. The entry notes that he has been re-announced on the wanted list, Caliber.Az reports.
On January 1, Ukraine’s Main Intelligence Directorate reported that Kapustin was alive and said Ukrainian special services had been conducting an operation for about a month to protect his life following an attempted assassination. According to the Ukrainian agency, approximately $500,000 had been allocated for this effort.
Earlier, on December 27, reports circulated claiming that Kapustin had been killed in a drone strike in the Zaporizhzhia direction.
