Russia strikes Ukraine again with 38 attack drones
On the night of October 28, the Russian army conducted another assault on Ukrainian territory using 38 attack drones, according to RBC-Ukraine, citing the Ukrainian Air Force (AFU).
The drones, including Shahed, Gerbera, and other models, were launched from the directions of Kursk and Orel, with approximately 25 identified as Shahed drones.
The attack was countered by Ukrainian aviation units, anti-aircraft missile forces, mobile fire groups, and electronic warfare teams. By 09:00 local time, air defence forces had either destroyed or suppressed 26 enemy drones in the northern and eastern parts of the country.
Twelve drones were confirmed hit at four locations, while debris from other downed vehicles fell in a separate area. The AFU command warned that several enemy drones remained in Ukrainian airspace and urged citizens to continue observing air alerts and follow safety measures.
Northern regions of Ukraine were again targeted, with the city of Chernihiv and the surrounding region serving as the primary focus. The strikes caused multiple fires, and one woman sustained injuries.
This attack follows a similar drone assault on October 27, when Russian forces again targeted Chernihiv and its region. The AFU Air Force reported that several drone groups were approaching the city, with monitoring channels noting approximately 15 Shahed drones near Chernihiv.
