Russian court: Teenager admits attacks on vehicles he believed belonged to Jews
A 17-year-old resident of Crimea has admitted guilt at a session of the Southern District Military Court for damaging vehicles he believed belonged to Jewish residents, as well as for involvement in an organisation banned in Russia, law enforcement sources told TASS.
According to investigators, in 2024, the teenager joined a terrorist organisation while in Simferopol. The group is described as advocating the seizure of power and pursuing its goals through attacks on administrative buildings.
The case materials state that the suspect siphoned about one litre of fuel from a moped and set fire to an Opel Calibra that he believed was owned by a Jewish man. After the incident, the teenager contacted his handler, informing them that a criminal case had been opened against him and requesting money to hire a lawyer.
Investigators also established that the suspect attempted to damage another vehicle by purchasing a PU-4 launching device and ammunition. He fired several shots at a VAZ car but caused no damage, as the vehicle had no windows, which were the intended target.
