Russian strikes hit 41 settlements in Ukraine’s Sumy region, 11 injured
At least 11 people have been injured in the Sumy region of Ukraine as a result of Russian shelling over 24 hours, from the morning of May 31 to the morning of June 1, the Sumy Regional Military Administration has stated.
It said the strikes targeted 41 settlements across 21 territorial communities, with more than 90 attacks recorded during the reporting period, Caliber.Az reports.
According to the administration, Russian forces used mortars, artillery, multiple rocket launch systems (MLRS), FPV drones, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), and guided aerial bombs.
In the Berezivka community, two women aged 47 and 57 were injured in a drone strike.
In the Bilopillia community, four men aged 22, 32, 40, and 49 sustained injuries.
In the Dmytrivka community, a 66-year-old woman was wounded, while in the Sumy community, two women aged 24 and 36 were injured.
In the Seredyna-Buda community, a drone strike on a vehicle injured a 47-year-old man, while another victim, a 54-year-old man, had been wounded earlier.
Authorities also reported widespread damage to civilian infrastructure across several communities, including residential buildings, infrastructure facilities, educational institutions, and vehicles.
