Saudi official: Armenian destructions in Karabakh - unprecedented example of barbarism

Prince Turki Al Faisal Al Saud, Chairman of the Board of the King Faisal Islamic Research Centre of Saudi Arabia, has thanked Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev for the opportunity to visit the liberated Karabakh region.

“I have seen the devastation that took place in those territories during the thirty years of occupation, and it is unimaginable,” he said in an interview with Azertag on March 8 during his visit to the Fuzuli district.

Stressing that these destructions are an unprecedented example of barbarism, the guest expressed confidence that the restoration and reconstruction of Karabakh are continuing with the determination of the Azerbaijani people and that these territories will become a developed region of Azerbaijan.

"One of the most important issues for the return of people who once lived in the liberated territories, as well as for the activities of others coming here, is the demining process. The land here is very fertile. Therefore, there are favourable conditions here not only for industry but also for the development of agriculture," Turki Al Faisal noted.
