"Shadow CIA" predicts escalation between Israel, Iran
The American private intelligence and analytical company Stratfor, known as the "shadow CIA", identifies the following possible scenarios for the development of the situation in the region after the recent, allegedly Israeli, attack on Iranian military facilities.
According to Stratfor analysts, the covert war between Israel and Iran will continue, creating a constant risk of escalation, Caliber.Az reports.
At the same time, a direct conflict between Israel and Iran cannot be ruled out.
Stratfor believes that in response to the latest strike, Iran could conduct cyber attacks against Israeli targets in the Middle East region; use their vast network of puppet militias to carry out drone/missile attacks against Israeli interests in countries such as Iraq, Syria, Lebanon and Yemen.
In addition, Iran can strike at US military bases, government infrastructure and possibly commercial companies in the Middle East, or it can provoke Palestinian attacks on Israel.
Stratfor analysts do not rule out that Tehran may accuse the Azerbaijani government of facilitating the attack on Isfahan, and also that Iran may attack Iraqi Kurdistan, as happened with Erbil in March 2022.
In addition, experts believe that Iran is likely to continue to develop its nuclear program and may announce advances in ballistic missile technology research, including hypersonic missile capabilities, which will cause alarm in Israel and the Gulf Arab countries and further increase concerns about transfer of Russian missiles by Iran for use in Ukraine.
