Azerbaijan, Armenia take major step forward with reciprocal border visits
On September 5, delegations from the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Armenia, led respectively by Deputy Prime Minister Shahin Mustafayev and Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan, undertook reciprocal visits to each other’s territories, marking a significant step in ongoing bilateral cooperation.
In line with the agreements reached during the Washington talks on August 8, the delegations engaged in detailed discussions aimed at synchronizing efforts related to the establishment of communications infrastructure, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.
Key topics included the delimitation and demining of specific sections of the border, as well as the restoration and construction of essential infrastructure, accompanied by agreed timelines for their execution.
The senior officials exchanged perspectives on organizing the forthcoming meeting of the State Commission on the Delimitation of the State Border between Azerbaijan and Armenia. Additionally, they deliberated on the activities of the Commission responsible for the Delimitation of the State Border and Border Security between Armenia and Azerbaijan, underscoring their mutual commitment to advancing border management and security cooperation.
