Costa Rica signals interest in expanding relations with Azerbaijan PHOTO
Costa Rican President Laura Fernandez has expressed interest in further developing relations with Azerbaijan during a meeting with the country’s newly appointed ambassador, Seymur Fataliyev.
According to Azerbaijan’s diplomatic mission, Fataliyev briefed Fernandez on Azerbaijan’s growing role amid recent geopolitical developments, its economic potential and investment opportunities. He also outlined progress in the peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.
Fernandez congratulated Azerbaijan on the progress achieved in the peace process and expressed readiness to work during her presidency to further strengthen friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
During the meeting, Fataliyev presented Fernandez with a book published by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, titled “Azerbaijan: Enchanted by Nature.”
