Memorial ceremony for Afghanistan earthquake victims held in Baku PHOTO
A memorial ceremony for the victims of the devastating earthquake in eastern Afghanistan was held at the Embassy of Afghanistan in Azerbaijan, the embassy announced on its official page on X.
The event brought together representatives of Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Caucasus Muslims Board, as well as ambassadors and diplomats from several countries, Caliber.Az reports.

Participants expressed their condolences and solidarity by leaving written messages in the Book of Remembrance.
Chargé d'Affaires of the Afghan Embassy in Azerbaijan, Mohammad Faisal, briefed attendees on the consequences of the disaster and conveyed his gratitude for the support extended by Azerbaijan and the international community.
According to the latest figures, the earthquake has claimed 2,205 lives in Afghanistan.
